These terms cover using Quest App: Gamified Planner — the mobile app, the web companion at app.questapp.cc, and the backend that runs both. By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
Quest App turns real-world goals into quests, objectives, and questlines, with optional AI features (the Organizer, the Old Sage, the Fairy, the Guild) and optional social features (parties, a leaderboard, community-posted questlines). Most of the app works fully offline and without an account — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what does and doesn't leave your device.
You can use Quest App as a guest with no account at all. If you link an email address, that email becomes the key that restores your Premium subscription and syncs your data to a new device or to the web companion. Only one device (and, separately, one web session) can be actively linked to an email at a time — linking again from a new device replaces the old one. You're responsible for keeping access to your linked email; we use it to verify it's really you.
Premium (Solo or Party tier, monthly or yearly) is billed and managed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — not by us directly. That means:
You keep ownership of what you create — your quests, objectives, journal entries, and anything you post to a party or as a community questline. By posting a questline publicly or to a party, you're allowing other players (in that party, or anyone browsing community questlines) to see and copy it. We don't claim ownership of your content, and we only use it to operate the features you're actively using — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what's stored and where.
The Organizer, the Old Sage, the Fairy, and the Guild are AI-generated, in-character responses meant to help with planning and reflection — they are not professional advice of any kind (medical, mental health, financial, legal, or otherwise), and their output isn't guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation. Use your own judgment. If you're in crisis or need real support, please reach out to a real person or a crisis service, not the app.
Don't use Quest App to post or submit sexual content, hate speech, self-harm content, or harassment — to the AI features, in party chat, or in a publicly posted questline. Don't try to abuse or circumvent rate limits, security measures, or the Premium gate. Don't post spam or content unrelated to real-world goals and self-improvement as a community questline. We may remove content, suspend rate limits further, or restrict access to accounts that violate this.
Anything you post to a Party — questlines, chat messages, progress — is visible to every member of that party. This is separate from your private data, which never becomes visible to anyone else.
You can stop using the app and delete your synced account and data at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms, particularly the acceptable-use section above.
Quest App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app, the AI features, or the backend will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, missed reminders, or reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
We may update these terms or the app itself over time. If a change is significant, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
